She is not only a musician, but also a vocalist, visual artist, record producer, video director, fashion designer, and actress. Gordon gained recognition as the bassist, guitarist, and vocalist of the alternative rock band Sonic Youth, which she co-founded with Thurston Moore back in 1981. Following the breakup of Sonic Youth in 2012, Gordon went on to form Body/Head alongside her friend Bill Nace. Apart from her musical endeavors, she has also dabbled in the world of acting, appearing in several films as well as making guest appearances on popular TV shows like Gossip Girl and Girls. With homes in Northampton, Massachusetts, New York, and Los Angeles, Gordon is truly a woman on the move.
