Released in 2018, Freedom’s Goblin is the tenth studio album by the American garage rock musician Ty Segall. As well as being the second album to be recorded with his backing band The Freedom Band. 

The aesthetic of this album is anti-theme. Compared to his past albums Segall took inspiration from the idea of complete music freedom. Stating that ‘no idea is inappropriate’ this album has no specific restrictions and confinements in the concept and execution. Allowing for Segall’s raw musical knowledge and talent to flow organically and unprovoked amongst the alternative rock sound.
