Joy Division’s debut single, “Transmission” kicked off the group’s trend for releasing singles that didn’t appear on their albums. This 40th anniversary 12” features remastered audio on 180g vinyl, and the original artwork on heavyweight board with an embossed sleeve.

The title song, “Transmission” features a driving bass line, ominous guitars, rhythmic percussion and poetic lyricism that set an eerie scene for the listener. The song is captivating yet bleak and disturbing, post-punk Joy Division at their finest.
