Formed in 2006, Cleveland, Ohio, The Sidekicks kicked off their career with “So Long, Soggy Dog” in 2007, before signing onto Epitaph Records in 2014 and releasing “Runners In The Nerved World” in 2015.

Released in 2018, “Happiness Hours” is the band’s fifth full-length album. The release kicks off with “Other People’s Pets”, a cheery and sunny-sounding song, while “Mix For A Rainy Day’, consists of a subdued charm that allows Steve Ciolek’s falsetto to shine through. “Twin’s Twist” stands out from the rest, a mellow yet still upbeat track with catchy melodies and lyrics. Closing the record, the self-reflective “Happiness Hours sums up the entire journey of the album, reinforcing its position as an indie-rock must-have.
